Caring for laminate flooring

Choosing laminate is only the first step; correct care helps preserve it. The factory-finished surface does not normally need additional lacquer, polish or sanding. Follow these precautions together with the manufacturer's instructions:

• Use suitable entrance mats to reduce grit, dirt and moisture brought in from outside.
• Protect the floor from concentrated furniture loads with suitable feet, castors and floor protectors.
• Keep indoor humidity within the range specified by your flooring manufacturer throughout the year to limit expansion and contraction.
• Protect against sharp objects and use castors approved for hard flooring where required.
